Story?
Innovative Pest Management, Inc. was founded in 1992 by its president
and technical director, Richard D. Kramer, Ph. D. following his retirement
as a U.S. Army entomologist with 22 years of experience. Nationally
recognized as a leader in his field, Dr. Kramer is a Board Certified
Entomologist (BCE) in Urban Entomology with over 35 years experience. He
has held the prestigious position of Director of Research, Education, and
Technical Services for the National Pest Management Association, consulted
internationally for the U.S. State Department, writes a monthly column in
PCT (Pest Control Technology), and authored the most recent edition of the
Technician's Handbook (used by thousands of field technicians throughout
the country).
Dr. Kramer's vision of recognizing unmet needs within our industry and his
leadership in setting the standard for professional responsibility were
instrumental in his decision to form Innovative Pest Management. We now
operate as one of the fastest growing full-service regional pest
management organizations in the DC metropolitan area.
Extensive Experience!
All of our service personnel are certified pesticide applicators (MD, VA
and/or DC) and at a minimum are certified in categories including general
household pests, rodents and termites. Several of our personnel are
certified in turf and ornamental, bird, mosquito and wildlife management.
Our personnel have worked as technicians, supervisors, and/or
entomologists for pest management contracts with numerous commercial
office and residential properties including the National Institutes of
Health Laboratory, the Naval District of Washington, the Department of
Commerce, the World Bank and the Holocaust Memorial Museum. All of our
personnel attend continuing education programs offered throughout the
region and participate in monthly in-house training provided by Dr.
Kramer. Although a staff entomologist is rarely required for pest
management contracts, Dr. Kramer enjoys interacting with customers and is
readily available to assist you with any pest management problem.
Rapid Response
All Innovative Pest Management personnel carry cellular phones so that they can be contacted directly by their customers and the office. Emergency service can normally be provided on the same day if notified before noon and by noon the following day if notified after noon. Our personnel are empowered to provide direct service responses to their customers, affording a timely response to your pest management needs.
Training
We are experienced at providing pest prevention training to diverse audiences, such as property managers, realtors, pest management technicians, and tenants,. As the need arises, these services are provided as a courtesy to our customers.
