Ward Pest Control proudly blended with parent company Innovative Pest Management in February 2016. Like Ward, Innovative Pest is a local family-owned and operated company that is led by one of the industry’s most well-respected entomologists—Dr. Richard Kramer. “Doc” as he is known, began his career as a US Army entomologist and following his retirement after 22-years of service, he became the Director of Research, Education, and Technical Resources for the National Pest Management Association in Falls Church. After 5 years in the association sphere, he partnered-up with his son Joshua and long-time friend Luke Krikstan to embark on an entrepreneurial journey and formed Innovative Pest Management.
Serving thousands of customers over our 12-year history as a full-service company we grew organically—one customer at a time, focusing of fulfilling the needs of our customers. In addition to our impressive residential customer portfolio, we have amassed an impressive commercial and government portfolio as well. Our unmatched success in developing and nurturing relationships with all of our customers has remained our key to success and growth over the years. We are proud to service prominent institutions such as: Ft. Belvoir, The National Gallery of Art, The American University, The George Washington University, The US Holocaust Museum, Smithsonian Institution, The Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Department of Interior, The Office of Personnel Management and many more!
Over the years, our family led company has grown from 4 to 48 talented team members! We have a tremendous crew of 12 in our administrative office and 36 dedicated and hard-working technical experts out in the field. We also attribute our growth to our focus on employee retention, training and continuity of service across our portfolio. We are proud to have customer retention that exceeds 98% per annum and thus received another awesome nod from our customers who voted us “Best Pest Control Company” during 2015 and more recently in 2016—in the Washington City Paper. Despite our growth, we have never lost our focus on quality. To maintain this commitment, Luke Krikstan was recently promoted to Vice-President of Technical Services, Michael Howcott was promoted to Residential Manager, Noah Krikstan (Associate Certified Entomologist) was promoted to Commercial Manager and our Director of Operations is Sharee Hixson. We recently outgrew our Columbia and Falls Church office locations and just moved in to our new headquarters located on the northern beltway to better serve our customers in the DC, VA, and MD metropolitan areas.
