A titan beetle in North America?

Question: Has a Titan Beetle ever been discovered in North America? I believe I may have identified a undersized Titan Beetle.

Answer: The titan beetle has not been introduced to North America, however there are many related beetles in North America. The titan beetle is a member of the beetle family Cerambycidae, which are also known as the long-horn beetles. More specifically, the titan beetle belongs to the subfamily Prioninae, of which we have our own North American species. You can see images of the various Prioninae species online.
